Just Released RADVOCACY Newsletter Shares How to Participate Virtually in Hill Day, More

​Members are encouraged to read the latest issue of the American College of Radiology Association® (ACRA®) Radvocacy Newsletter. ACRA, Radiology Advocacy Network (RAN) and RADPAC® — the College’s nonpartisan political action committee — share that members will find valuable information about Hill Day issues being discussed during ACR 2024, the American College of Radiology® (ACR®) annual meeting taking place in Washington DC. The newsletter includes how to participate virtually in Hill Day if not attending in person, and updates on state legislative issues. ​

RADPAC has closed its books from 2023 and is thankful to report another year of tremendous contribution support from members of the College. RADPAC raised over $845,000 from 2,110 contributors and ranked 5th out of more than 35 specialty physician political action committees in hard money raised in 2023.

Take Action Today in Campaign to Stop Impending Medicare Pay Cuts Your Fingertips
November 17, 2023

The American College of Radiology’s® (ACR®) Radiology Advocacy Network recently sent out a call-to-action urging American College of Radiology® (ACR®) members to contact their lawmakers and ask that they take immediate action to stop the 3.4% cut in Medicare payment included in the 2024 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule final rule (MPFS). Members already are taking action with more than 3,500 emails, 102 tweets, and 60 phone calls to Congress, but an even greater response is possible and necessary.

Advocate in Action: Fatima Elahi, DO, MHA, Discusses the Importance of RAN AND RADPAC Advocacy
August 18, 2023

Fatima Elahi, DO, is a fourth-year diagnostic radiology resident who was awarded the RADPAC® Achievement Award this year. Dr. Elahi serves as the Vice Chair/Chair-elect for the American College of Radiology® (ACR®) Resident and Fellow Section (ACR RFS) and as a board member on RADPAC, the College’s nonpartisan political action committee, and American College of Radiology Association® (ACRA®) Radiology Advocacy Network (RAN). After Dr. Elahi completes her residency, she intends to pursue additional training in breast imaging and continue her work in the educational, advocacy, and equity aspects of radiology. ACR Members Make Their Voices Heard at Hill Day​

More than 450 radiologists participated in the American College of Radiology® (ACR®) Hill Day May 10, meeting with more than 250 congressional offices. The event is the College’s first in-person Hill Day since 2019, a result of the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. ​  Click here to read more.
